Boris Kollár (born 14 August 1965) is the Chairman of the We Are Family - Boris Kollár political party of Slovakia.
Biography
Kollár was born on 14 August 1965, in Bratislava. He is a Slovak businessman who started his own party as he stated "to erase corruption from Slovak society and to successfully fight against political oligarchy". His views include libertarian economics combined with soft euroscepticism. He mostly critizes Angela Merkel for uncontrolled Schengen borders and also for letting refugees come to Europe freely on their own. He views uncontrolled immigration as a danger for all of Europe.
Kollár was living for a short period of time in Miami, United States.
In 2015, Kollár created a party called "Sme Rodina" (English: We Are Family). His party won 11 seats to Národná Rada (English: National Council) during the Slovak parliamentary election, 2016.[1]
In 2016, a member of the SIS (Slovenská informačná služba, Slovak Information Service) turned over material to the media linking Boris Kollár to the Slovak mafia.[2]
