William "Billy" Wilson was a New Zealand professional rugby league footballer of the 1910s and 1920s , playing at representative level for New Zealand (#103), and Wellington, as a Wing, or Loose forward/Lock, i.e. number 2 or 5, or, 13, during the era of conested scrums.[1][2][3]
Playing career
Billy Wilson played Loose forward/Lock in Wellington's 33-18 victory over Auckland during the 1913 New Zealand rugby league season Inter-district competition on Saturday 27 September 1913, this would be Wellington's last victory against Auckland until 1988.[4]
International honours
Billy Wilson represented New Zealand in 1914 against Great Britain, in 1919 against Australia (2 matches), and in 1921 against Australia.[5]
