Bernhard Hennen (born 1966 in Krefeld[1]) is a German writer[1] of fantasy literature. He is married and lives in Krefeld. He began his writing career with Das Jahr des Greifen which he co-authored with Wolfgang Hohlbein in 1993[1]–1994. He followed up with four historical novels published 1996–1999 before returning to the fantasy genre in the 2000s. He is best known internationally for his series Die Elfen ("The Elves", since 2004), which has been translated into a number of European languages.
