Believers Church Medical College Hospital is a healthcare project of Believers Church. The Church is dynamically involved in various nation-building social and educational projects, healthcare initiatives, charitable activities, community development programs, rehabilitation projects and relief works. Dr. K. P. Yohannan, Metropolitan of Believers Church is the patron of the hospital and Dr. George Chandy - Principal and controller and Former Director of CMC, Vellore. The Medical College is attached to a 300-bed, multi-speciality hospital. Built in a scenic land surrounded by greenery, with all the modern amenities, the college provides an exemplary environment for the deserving students in Thiruvalla, Kerala, India.

Accreditation

Believers Church Medical College is affiliated to the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS). The Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) was established by the 'Kerala University of Health Sciences Act 2010', for ensuring proper and systematic instruction, teaching, training and research in Modern Medicine, Homoeopathy and Indian Systems of Medicine including Ayurveda, Siddha, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani and other allied sciences and also to have uniformity in the various academic programmes in medical and allied subjects in the State of Kerala.

Emergency

Emergency care at the hospital is committed to providing immediate treatment 24x7 in case of emergency. The hospital has a 20-bed emergency department equipped for taking care of all kinds of medical and surgical emergencies and resuscitation. All the medical emergency personnel are trained to deal with trauma care and trained to deal with trauma care and life-saving procedures.

Out Patient

There is a one-time mandatory registration for all patients before the consultation. The patient will be issued a registration card. For appointments, the patient has to produce their registration card.

In Patient

In the inpatient unit, the patient gets the best possible medical and nursing care in a comfortable environment.

There are 10 well-equipped Operation Theaters for conducting various surgeries. The OTs facilitate monitoring, volumetric analysis, HEPA filters etc.

Ambulances equipped with state-of-the-art medical technologies like ventilator, ICU, CCU, BLS, ACLS, ALTS, Oxygen, Defibrillators, Cardiac Monitors etc. to handle emergencies are available round the clock. Ambulance staff is well-trained to take care of people's life in medical emergencies.

Pharmacy

The hospital is equipped with a well-stocked pharmacy located inside the hospital building and is open 24x7. Our pharmacy ensures that all medicines are available. Pharmacy services are provided by the registered pharmacists and medicines are stored as per required standards.

IQAC

Internal Quality Assurance Cell at Believers Church Medical College is the apex body for setting up objectives and benchmarks for the college. The cell adopts strigent measures to ensure that the objectives of the college are met time to time. It will conduct seminars, worrkshops and all those activities to improve the standards of students and staff at the college.

Team

IQAC team at BCMCH comprises faculty members, non-teaching staff, administrative personnels, students & parents [will be included after the admissions atre over] and eligible persons from the locale. Principal of the college will chair the cell.
