Story
Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo is a story based on a woman called Bharti (Juhi Aslam) and the hardships she has to face because of her short height. Bharti's father the rich and affluent, Rupesh Chauhan (Shailesh Datar) finally finds a suitable match in the poor Murli Laal (Vikrant Massey), who saves Bharti whilst she is about to fall from a tall building. On knowing that Bharti's father has sent over a proposal forward for his wedding with Bharti, Murli only agrees because he knows that this will help finance his younger sister's wedding. After a lot of considerations from both families they finally agree to go ahead with the alliance. However, Murli feels tongue- tied, he feels he is being pressurized and has also come to know that he is adopted because his biological father considered him unlucky and inauspicious. The 'Laal' family are also gifted a lavish bungalow and in their greed they agree to make Bharti their family's daughter- in- law. After a lot of struggle and ongoing chaos in the family, Bharti finally makes a place in the family and gives birth to a healthy baby, a son. The family is very happy and decide to send Bharti and Murli on a pilgrimage. Chaos follows on as Bharti amidst the crowd gets lost. Murli is depressed but also has a son to take care of. Murli finally gives up and returns home with his elder brother. The family finally finds peace as they find Bharti after a lot of struggle. The family becomes happy again but Murli's brother and sister- in- law, Mridang (Darshan Gandas) and Gaushala (Ashita Dhawan) hatch a plan to rob all the money and jewellery which originally belongs to Mridang's mother. In a haste Gaushala picks up the wrong baby thinking it's her daughter, Jasmine, but it is actually Vihaan, Bharti and Murli's dearest son. Gaushala stops to bring her daughter but her husband asks her to choose between wealth or their child. The greedy Gaushala prefers to select wealth and sets off on a con-ride with her husband. It is later revealed that Mridang deliberately decided to keep Vihaan, kidnapping him. Mridang says to his wife that the only way to keep the 'Laal' family in control is to keep the child in their custody. On the other hand, the family are worried and are wondering where on earth both Mridang and Gaushala are. In a shock to the family it is revealed that everything is out of its place and the marriage ceremony of Veena, Murli's youngest sister is stalled.
Twenty years later
Twenty years have passed and everything has changed. All the main characters have died expect Bharti and Dumroo (Rahul Trivedi), Murli's eldest brother. Dumroo's daughter, Rimjim (Anmol Singh), is an adult now. On the other hand, we see the conventional and sophisticated daughter of Mridang and Gaushala, Jasmine. Jasmine is exactly like her mother–a complete show off, and Rimjim is her complete opposite, quieter and much more mature. In an attempt to show attitude the ruthless Jasmine burns Rimjim's finger. Jasmine is shouted at from her Granny, Chimti Nanni (Meenakshi Sethi). Rimjim leaves the room crying. She then enters her father's room where he is seen fiddling with a (Sitar) which he designed for his daughter. Then Rimjim asks Dumroo as to why, consecutively every year on the same day, Bharti go to the temple. Hesitantly, Dumroo starts to narrate the story of twenty years ago. He goes on to tell her, how in the attempt to save his son, poor Murli was murdered by his shrewd elder brother. Therefore, Bharti annually attends the temple and holds an prayer meet. Dumroo also tells Rimjim how in such a horrible situation right after the brutal murder of Murli, Bharti finds out that she is pregnant yet again with another baby. Vihaan, now 21, is shown as a responsible and mature. Whereas Bharti's second son is shown as a loafer, who mocks around gambling and betting on his chain in order to win money. Bharti's eldest son Vihaan Tabrez Khan and youngest son Aditya Raj Singh (actor) are introduced. Bharti feels that her son Vihaan is of marriageable age therefore she arranges his marriage to their loyalist business secretary's elder daughter Pari Shalini Sahuta. Pari agrees to the alliance thinking it is of Aditya who she has always wanted to get married to. When both families come to each other's houses it is then revealed to Pari that her proposal was sent for the stammering Vihaan, who can not even say one word properly. Pari is alarmed and wants her mother to do anything but stop this relationship from going any further because she feels deceited. Manju Nupur Alankaar decides to fix a meeting between the two because so that all differences are resolved. Pari and Manju succeed in doing so when Pari discloses to him that she thought it was his younger brother who her proposal was sent to. Vihaan is sad but decides to go on. Pari is still in a dilemma because she fears Vihaan might not speak in front of her mother. Vihaan comes up with an idea to sort out this issue. He uses his stammering as a tool to reject this alliance himself. Bharti agrees to this and decides to fix Aditya's marriage with Pari as planned by Pari herself. On the day of the engagement it is revealed that Aditya and Pari are getting engaged. Bharti who is eagerly awaiting the day when her eldest son gets married shows an instant liking towards Pari's younger sister named Kopal. Kopal is very similar to Vihaan thus forming the perfect relationship. Bharti decides to go for this relationship but only after everyone's consent. Everyone including Kopal agree with this wedding but Pari is disgusted because she knows that if Kopal gets married into the family they will become sisters- in- law which is not happening with Pari because she is originally older than Kopal. After several failed attempts Pari succeeds in creating a rift between the naive Vihaan and Kopal. Under the pretense of being Kopal and wearing the same stole as her, Pari's attempt of fooling Vihaan is done and over with. Vihaan hears the conversation, which Pari actually attempted Bharti to hear was unfortunately overheard by Vihaan. Vihaan is hurt but tongue- tied because he does not want humiliation for his family. As a result of this, getting married to Kopal but not accepting her as his wife. Things don't seem to go so well between the married couple and soon Bharti starts to suspect the relation between them and so Bharti talks it all over with both of them.
