BRIC: The New World

BRIC: The New World is a documentary series produced by journalist Jorge Lanata. It consists of ten episodes, which were broadcast by Visual Studio for Infinity in 2010. The journalist investigates an essay published in 2003 by the British Jim O'Neill called "Dreaming with BRICs: The Path to 2050" which postulates that the BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India and China) would be the next emerging powers in 2050. Fires a reflection on whether the future of social transformation will hand the BRIC economic growth, or whether it will be a future of misery plus technology.

The documentary begins in England, with an interview between Lanata and O'Neill in London. Later on, Lanata heads a tour to each city of the four BRIC countries. Also interviewing actors of power, wealth, students, workers, artists, intellectuals, among others. It's been portrayed the differences in economy, politics and religion in each of these four countries.
