Bức Tường ("The Wall") is a Vietnamese glam metal band formed in Hanoi on 26 March 1995 from National University of Civil Engineering. The band is considered to be the leader of Hanoi's rock scene.[1][2][3]
The band is now in hiatus due to Tran Lap's death.
Process of the Establishment
In early 1996, Bức Tường had the opportunity to introduce themselves before the student crowd and national television audience with the song "We're the Wall" in the opening game of SV96 between three teams: Hanoi University of Technology, University National Economics, and the University Building. Then, four years later, the in SV2000 finale, with upbeat tunes, vibrant of Dawn 2000 students and Road to glory days, Bức Tường had wowed audiences in Vietnam. This event marked a turning point in their musical career.
The Bức Tường band was chosen as representative of contemporary Vietnamese music attended the Vietnam Festival Faces – Face of the French language is organized in the city of Cahors in the South of France from 26 September to 7 October 2003.[4]
On 25 April 2004 , Bức Tường became the first band to perform concert program in Music and VTV3 friends.[5]
In November 2005, Bức Tường was the first band in Vietnam (and only to this point) has a trans-Vietnam tour performances. 4 concerts "9 +" turn to be held in Hanoi, Hai Phong, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City.
After nearly 12 years, on 2 December 2006 farewell concert entitled "The last Saturday" took place in front of 20,000 fans (supposedly the largest of the concerts of Bức Tường) at the Trade Center Giang Vo Exhibition (Hanoi).[6][7]
2010 Reconstruction
July 2010 Wall reunited with new members are bass guitarist Minh Duc (former member of the Marble Palace, Rosewood ).[8]
Trần Lập's cancer and death
In November 2015, the band's lead singer Trần Lập was diagnosed with rectal cancer. In January 2016, Bức Tường held their last live show with him, "Hand of Fire", in Hanoi, attracting 15000 spectators. On 17 March 2016, after five months struggling with cancer, Trần Lập passed away at his home in Hanoi.

Music
Music of mainly hard rock and power metal. The composition of Bức Tường was loved by rich meaning and humanity, difference compared to some songs easy, cliché same time. Music of the Wall are directing people to your thoughts and good purpose.
"Rock through the night","road to glory", " Discover (song)", "Dawn of students in 2000" is a thirst for knowledge, is the effort to overcome difficulties and beyond over themselves to go to success.
"Hands" is about mutual caring between people in the community. "For Dust Confidence", "Sleepwalking", "Low", "Blind Girl" is the song for the unfortunate fate of society.
Bức Tường also has the ballad also gives them more famous, as "Glass Rose" "Black Eyes".
In addition, it is also known as night Vietnamese folk music into rock.
