BÍ/Bolungarvík was an Icelandic football club formed from the merger of the football team Boltafélag Ísafjarðar (BÍ 88) and sports club UMF Bolungarvík in May 2006.[1] They are from the neighboring towns of Ísafjörður and Bolungarvík in Westfjords, Iceland. In 2008 the team won promotion from the third division.[2] The first year in second division the team placed 5th on the table [3] and in 2010 it won promotion to the first division.[4] In October 2010 the team hired Guðjón Þórðarson as their manager.[5]
In 2016 the club merged into Íþróttafélagið Vestri along with Skellur (Volleyball), Sundfélagið Vestri (Swim) and KFÍ (Basketballl).
