Fictional character biography

Artemis journeyed to Earth with Hermes and Dionysus to capture the Avengers, whom Zeus blamed for injuries that Hercules had suffered at the hands of the Masters of Evil. The three gods fought the Avengers, and Artemis shot Captain Marvel with an arrow that passed through her intangible state, and shocked her back into human form.[1] She also captured the Wasp and presented her to Zeus. She remained loyal to Zeus when a number of other gods rebelled against him to support the Avengers.[2] She fought Captain Marvel again, but this time the human defeated her.[3]

Apollo, Artemis, and Hephaestus appear in a meeting with Hera and Pluto, where Hera reveals her plans to them.[4]

Powers and abilities

Artemis possesses the typical powers of an Olympian, including superhuman strength, speed, durability, and reflexes, and virtual immortality. Artemis is also psychically bonded with the moon and can use its mystical energy with her own and manipulate this energy for a number of purposes like teleportation, project energy to heal or harm other beings, and shapeshifting (she once turned into a deer to lure the Wasp into a trap[5]). Artemis is also a master archer and a superb huntress.
