ArtFacts.Net

ArtFacts.Net is a privately owned, London and Berlin-based guide to modern and contemporary art.[1] The website was founded in 2001 and since 2004, displays an Artist Ranking.

Artist ranking

A key component of the ArtFacts.Net net service is its artist ranking. The ranking is based on ArtFacts.Net's exhibition data. This data is sourced through submissions. Based on this information, a dynamic points system is used to generate a ranking. The calculation factors in exhibition history, type of exhibition (e.g. group or solo), standing of the exhibitor and also the ArtFacts.Net's ranking of associated artists.

Exhibition database

The ArtFacts.Net database includes historical exhibition information dating back to the birthplace of the modern art market (the Salon des Refusés, Paris, 1863), as well as current entries for artists, galleries and art institutions worldwide.

The resource contains submitted information about artists and their exhibitors. Individual exhibitions, galleries, museums and art institutions are also searchable by name and location.
