Ardagh, County Donegal
Ardagh, Donegal (Irish: Ardachadh, meaning "high field" in the fertile eastern side of County Donegal, Ireland. It became part of the large Abercorn estate and was settled by mainly Scottish settlers during the Ulster plantation.It was the birthplace of the philosopher John Toland (1670–1722), a pantheist and anti-Catholic polemicist.
