Angelo Rules (French: Angelo la Débrouille) is an animated series produced by TeamTO and Cake Entertainment and directed by Chloé Miller and Franz Kirchner.[2] It is based on the book series Comment Faire Enrager... by Sylvie De Mathuisieulx and Sebastien Diologent.
There have been two seasons, the first having 78 7-minute episodes, and the second having 46 11-minute and three 22-minute episodes.[2] On September 11, 2014, the series was renewed for a third season with 52 episodes.[3] On November 29, 2016, the series was renewed for a fourth season with 52 episodes.[4]
Plot
For 12-year-old boy Angelo, life can be daily battle. There are adults, siblings, teachers and rivals telling them what to do, what not to do, what to say... Well, it's time for kids to take control and Angelo's here to show the way! He observes and then comes up with elaborate strategies to wheedle, sweet-talk, con, and work around any adversary, with the help of his friends Sherwood and Lola.
Reception
Angelo Rules was one of 24 nominees for the second International Emmy Kids Awards in 2013.[5]
Broadcast
Angelo Rules airs on Cartoon Network channels in over 152 countries. In the United States, the series was acquired by Cartoon Network and premiered on January 1, 2010, and the season two debuted online on June 2, 2014.[6][7]
