Amit Arya is a Canadian Indian classical music vocalist.
Early life
Amit Arya was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He began learning music at the age of six. In June 1999, Amit started learning under Padma Vibhushan Pandit Jasraj and has continued learning primarily from his senior disciples. They are:

- Pandita Tripti Mukherjee
- Shri Hemang Mehta
- Pritam Bhattacharjee
Education
Amit Arya holds a medical Degree from the University of British Columbia and is a Medical Doctor by profession.[3]
Music career
Amit Arya is the Director, Co-Founder and Instructor along with Pandita Tripti Mukherjee of the Pandit Jasraj Institute of Music - Toronto, the first Indian Classical School with Pandit Jasraj's name in the Greater Toronto Area. Amit is the first Canadian born Indian Classical Vocalist performing and teaching at his level.[1]
Repertoire
Amit specializes in Hindustani Classical Music. He also presents other forms of devotional music such as bhajans.
