Alyssa Wong

Alyssa Wong is an American speculative fiction author of Chinese and Filipino descent.[1] She has published short fiction and poetry,[2] and studies fiction at North Carolina State University.[3] She was a finalist for the 2016 John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer.[4]

Her short story "Hungry Daughters of Starving Mothers"[3] won the 2015 Nebula Award for Best Short Story,[5] and was a finalist for the 2015 Shirley Jackson Award,[6] the 2016 Locus Award for Best Short Story,[7] and the 2015 Bram Stoker Award for Short Fiction.[8] Her short story "The Fisher Queen"[9] was a finalist for the 2014 Nebula Award for Best Short Story,[5] the 2014 Shirley Jackson Award,[6] and the 2015 World Fantasy Award for Best Short Story.[10]
