Alain Asplanato

Alain Asplanato studied classical percussion at the Conservatory in Nice for 7 years.[1]

In 2002 he met Michel Legrand and participated in numerous concerts worldwide, such as a big band and a philharmonic orchestra.

In 2008 he founded with Pierre Bertrand and Christian Pachiaudi the Nice Jazz Orchestra which has since accompanied some of the greatest names in jazz. He has played or recorded with Bob Mintzer, Marcus Miller, Nicolas Folmer, Bireli Lagrene, Gregory Porter, Richard Galliano, Perico Sambeat, and Babik Reinhart.
