Aeon Labs is a home automation and electronics company based in Silicon Valley, California known both as Aeon Labs and Aeotec.[2]

As a company, Aeon Labs' core focus is on the development and sale of Z-Wave compatible accessories which it makes available under its own name, its Aeotec sub-brand, and as white labelled goods. Its products are available in over 80 countries globally[3] and include Z-Wave interpretations of motion sensors,[4] thermometers, remotes, key fobs, and wall switches.

Partnerships

Under their own brand names of Aeotec and Aeon Labs, the company have developed their home automation accessories released since 2015 upon a customised Z-Wave Plus platform dubbed Gen5;[5] prior to that Aeon Labs had utilised older versions of the Z-Wave SDK. These own-brand products have been designed to work with Z-Wave controllers such as Samsung's SmartThings and Wink.[6]

Despite having their own established brand names, Aeon Labs has operated for many years as an original equipment manufacturer.[7] That has seen them announce partnerships with multiple solutions providers including Alarm.com, ADT, AT&T, Huawei, for whom they are a core connected home accessory provider,[8] Orange S.A., and Telefónica.[3]
