Abercorn Prep School is a British independent prep school for pupils aged 2 to 13 years, is set across 3 locations in and around Marylebone. Its main administrative centre is located in St John's Wood, London. Now in its 30th year, the school was opened in 1987 by Andrea Greystoke and has 400 pupils.[1]
Abercorn Prep uses the National Curriculum as a basis for teaching. Independent secondary schools which pupils typically move on to include Aldenham School, St Paul's School, Westminster School, City of London School for Boys, City of London School for Girls, St Paul's Girls, Godolphin and Latymer, Latymer Upper, Highgate, Queen's College, North London Collegiate, UCS, Mill Hill, Wetherby and Francis Holland together with a selection of boarding schools including Oundle, Stowe, King's Canterbury, Queenswood, Cheltenham Ladies' College and Monkton Combe in recent years. Pupils are prepared for 11+ and 13+ examinations.
Abercorn School is a member of IAPS, the Independent Association of Preparatory Schools.[2][3]
