A Perfect Match is a duet album released by American country music singers, David Houston and Barbara Mandrell.
For Barbara Mandrell, this was the first duet album she had ever recorded and would be one of two duet albums she would release during her career. David Houston had already been a successful Country singer the previous decade with his #1 Country hit, "Almost Persuaded". Mandrell on the other hand was very new to the Country music business, only releasing her first album in 1971. Their duet album spawned two major Country hits, "After Closing Time", which reached the Top 10, peaking at #6. The second single, "I Love You, I Love You" was another Top 10 Country hit, peaking at #6 again, but not released until 1973 (under the Epic label). This album also peaked at #38 on the Top Country Albums chart in 1972. The album included a duet remake of Houston's big hit from the late 1960s, "Almost Persuaded".
