The 2017 International Rules Series will be the 20th International Rules Series contested between Gaelic footballers from Ireland and Australian footballers from Australia. The series will be hosted by Australia and will be the first in four years to revert to a two-match aggregate points format. The two test matches will be played on 11 and 18 November 2017 at yet-to-be determined venues.[1]

- Second test match: Australia v. Ireland, 18 November 2017
Background
The series will revert to the traditional two-match format, with the team to score the highest amount over the two test matches to be the winner. The AFL and GAA announced the dates of the two matches in November 2016. The venues have not yet been decided.[1][2]
