• 26 June – The Helikopter Service Flight 165 crash; a Sikorsky S-61 helicopter crashes into the North Sea, 78 nautical miles (144 km; 90 mi) northeast of Bergen, en route from Bergen Airport, Flesland to Statfjord A. All eighteen people on board are killed in the crash.^[1]
• 28 August – At Hopen, Svalbard, a Soviet Tupolev Tu-16 aircraft accidentally crashes at the sides of Werenskioldfjellet.^[2]
