The 1974 European Cup Final was contested between FC Bayern Munich of West Germany and Atlético Madrid of Spain. Schwarzenbeck goal in extra time meant the two sides could not be separated, so a replay was played two days later and denied Atletico first European Cup glory as well as UEFA Plaque which they will be received in the future after their 2010 Europa League triumph. Bayern eventually won this match convincingly, with two goals each from Uli Hoeneß and Gerd Müller, giving the German side a 40 victory.[1][2]
