The 1970 Northern Illinois Huskies football team represented Northern Illinois University in the 1970 college football season. The Huskies competed in the highest division of football at the time: Division I, also known as the University Division. They competed among the Independents of the league during this season. They were led by head coach Doc Urich for the second year, and final one of his tenure, and played their home games at Huskie Stadium.
