Île Raphael

Coordinates: 16°27′0″S 59°37′0″E / 16.45000°S 59.61667°E / -16.45000; 59.61667 Île Raphael is an island in the Cargados Carajos shoals (Saint Brandon), a group of outer islands of Mauritius. It is home to a privately owned fishing station, a coast guard and a meteorological station, which in total amount to about 40 residents, the majority of Saint Brandon's population.^[1]

The island is the principal base for fishing activities in this area of the Indian Ocean.
